Bahamas, Easter, Family, and friends all packed into one amazing weekend.  Thank you God for all of our sweet blessings and for your son, our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.http://centsiblychic.squarespace.com/centsible-stylings/2012/4/8/bahamas-easter-family-friends-and-fashionyikes-thats-a-lot-4.html

Here are a few of our Easter Pics...

Matthew 28:1-10
After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

Happy Anniversary Jeffery

Happy Anniversary to the one and only fella that is absolutely the best fit for me.  Thanks for the 9yrs of laughter, talks, supporting me in everything that I do, and the love that you continue share with me.

I will never forget the day I walked down the aisle and saw you eagerly waiting on me.  I was so very nervous, and the moment I saw you my nerves just lifted away.  I still have a peace when I see you walk through the door or wake up every morning to you.  Although these nine wonderful years have been trying I could not have asked for a better person to get through it with.  I love you; thank you so much for supporting me with my dreams and my constant creativity.   Both Dill and I are so very blessed to have you in our lives, and I look forward to many more years of martial bliss with you.

Love you Jeffery!

Finding your style and finding what helps make your style shine is so important when it comes to being comfortable with the new trends. I have so many things that keep me and my passion for styling grounded and encourage me when it comes to what I do. It’s easy to give up on what I love and have always dreamed to do. But, having the drive and the passion from God, family, friends and even the random people that I meet in the stores brings me back to what I have always had and still have a love for......helping others and dreaming of my next styling/wardrobe victim.

So, I know the Holidays are pretty much here and I wanted all of you to get a little taste of what has kept me and my creativity flowing during this crazy time of the year. Family, friends, and life can inspire anyone. Don’t let the holiday season get the best of you let it inspire you and then you in return, can inspire others.  Love to all and Merry Christmas!

Laura

Here are some pics of my holiday inspiration. Find what inspires you and your style. Also, I have a BIG Christmas wish from each and everyone of you. Give back to others, pray for others, and give someone a smile, hug, hand shake, or a simple hello. That would be the best Christmas gift ever for your truly!!!  love and hugs to all.

All my little Dill want's is a House, Road, and a fire truck. Two down one to go...HA! Three year olds Rock!!

Can' t beat a fun family portrait with gammie and poppop to start the holidays off right.

 This is how it' started.

Leave it to Gammie to make it a fun ending!!!

School Christmas programs Rock!  Even when your child is only up on stage for more than 2 min's...HA!

We only have one child, SO THIS WAS A BIG YEAR FOR US! I find it quite funny when your little one is up on that stage, singing jingle bells at the top their lungs, barely getting a jingle or a bell out of it. But, I slowly turn, while vibrantly taking pictures and I see the smiles on the entire mommy and daddy’s faces. That makes a great day!!! Being a mommy is the best! And having mommy ears are even better...Ha!

Fun with friends!

Chistmas with friends and Dirty Santa

Fun with daddy trying to find the Elf every Morning.

Amazing wardrobes make overs for me!

The best love ever!!!

And the most precious gift of all....Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Merry Christmas to you all!!

Love Laura

12/19/11 The best time to shop

So Christmas is creeping up on us fairly quickly and if you don't have your holiday outfits in check then this is the best time to go shopping for that fun holiday style. You can't beat the sales going on right now ladies. I will tell you, you can get an outfit for under $100.00. I certainly did and I can't wait to share them with you! Be sure to take what you have in your closet and try to incorporate it with your new items. And ladies, know what you are buying and be sure that you can possibly incorporate them into upcoming seasons; that way it's totally worth the investment.  You can shop stores like Francescas, TJMaxx, Ross, Marshalls, Dillards, Kohls and the list goes on...and get great deals and steals for your holiday wear. So, don't give up on finding that perfectly priced outfit. Shop your closet together with your favorite stores for the best winter deals!

Now onto shopping after the Christmas parties are over.  This is even a better time to shop. So many stores still and will carry trends that will carry over into the spring. So be very fashion savvy and keep up with my blog and find these items after the holidays! You can seriously find name brand items 50%,60%,70%, or even 80% percent off.

Check out my holiday fashion finds for half the cost. I love clothes and the latest trends but I don't love paying full price for them. So see how I can make an affordable outfit look like it just came off the runway! Enjoy!

Take a chance or risk when it comes to fashion.  Be confident and love yourself.  Anyone can do this no matter who you are!

Thanksgiving 11/26/11

Although it came and went so fast, these are the memories I will always cherish. I am so glad I am able to capture these memories and to be able to share them with each and every one of you. My family and friends are so important to me and really are part of my dream. They keep my dream going as well as inspire me. So I truly cherish these pictures and the wonderful life that the Lord has blessed me with.

We missed the family and friends that were not there. But, I am so grateful that we will always be able to have and share many more memories,  not only during the holidays but throughout the year. Hope every one of you had a wonderful thanksgiving and pray that you all continue to have a wonderful holiday season. Be sure to help and pray for those in need, xoxo and God Bless Laura

 Thanksgiving! 11/25/11

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

You can see my purchases from franchescas by clicking on the link below

I feel sure you will all look your best for this fun filled day of stuffing our faces with food. I can’t wait! Spending time with my family and friends is so very important to me and the holidays are perfect for that. So wear your most comfortable clothes and be sure to eat, drink, and be merry and thank our Lord for this awesome day!

I would like to encourage each and every one of you to help those in need. We are so blessed to have a house and food but there are so many people who are les fortunate. Let’s please remember to help those in need.  Lend a hand and remember that the Lord loves us all and we should do the same. So while you are out doing your Christmas shopping, be sure to take the time to thank the Lord for your blessings, pray for others and give back.

1. Please pray for the Gill family and for Sweet Karlie.

2. I have so many prayers request right now.  We have a family friend who has a little boy named Andrew who is really sick. He has a mass on his brain and as of now they cannot do surgery. Please pray for his mommy and family. We need a miracle in both  Karlie and Andrews case.

3. And I also have a very precious friend whose daddy is really sick. Teresa, we love you and your family and we are sending many prayers your way.

The holidays can be a time for joy, kindness and love and this is what gets us through each day. So please let’s share that love. Remember to pray for those that are lost, suffering and holding on to so much heartache and pain. Let’s remember these families and so many others around the world. Peace, love, and prayers to you all!!

Here are a few things that I am Thankful for:

1. God-Oh, I would not make it through the day without the Him.

2. Family-espically my little boy. He inspires me and brings my creative side out every day.

3. Friends-Even those friends I have not met yet :0)

4. Health-Thank you God!

10. Love-it speaks for itself! :0)

A wedding spectacular and fashion fun fall! 11/21/11

I always enjoy going to weddings.  I love the wedding gowns, bridesmaid gowns, flowers, and all that’s in store for a wonderful event such as this. I have a little secret, when it comes to fashion my one dream would to be able to deign wedding gowns. Yes, I know, so out of the norm of my regular beauty bargains, but that is something I always dreamed of doing. I could sit and watch Say Yes to the Dress or Wedding Spectacular all day long.  So needless to say my favorite part of all these gorgeous wedding events is to see the bride walking down the aisle in her gorgeous wedding gown. That is her day to shine and to be the princess she always longs to be, and there is nothing like that.  A bride always shines on her wedding day and I will say Emily, you sure did shine! What a gorgeous wedding! We had a great time and I certainly enjoyed the fun events. I felt like a princess myself….Ha!

So with that said, check out my beauty bargains and see how much money I saved for this event. Also check out my pictures and my beauty bargain from the ball we went to two weeks ago. So sorry I am late on posting thing ladies; it’s just been a crazy month! Good but busy!

My precious Aunt Betsy was at the Wedding. I just love her!

So as soon as I get a pic of the gorgeous bride and groom I will post. I had a hard time getting to them.

Now on to my ball beauty bargain. I just loved my Apple Red dress that I found at Ross. I went a little wild and did some soft color blocking. Blush shoes, necklace and a leopard printed jacket as well as some fabulous friends toped off the dress and the night!

A Gift- 11/16/11

I was just reminded of how precious friends are. I depend on those amazing relationships so very much, more than I thought! I thank those friends who have been so very supportive of me and have not discouraged me to give up on my dream. Lately it has been a struggle and the Devil has really been trying to pull me down and discourage me.  It’s been hard and he was being very successful at it until God intervened.  I thank God for placing my sweet friend Heather in my life. I feel like God keeps giving her things to constantly build me up.  I received the sweetest, most encouraging card last week from her and it could not have come at a better time in my life!  Then, I went to pick up Dill at school yesterday and saw a sweet note with an article attached that said this…”Hey Girl, I thought of you when I read this article”. Of course more was written, but the fact that she said thought of you; those are three words that everyone wants to hear!  And I will say Heather always does think of me. With that said I want to share with you some of the article that she sent me. I think we all need to understand that we have hard times in our life, but during those times, remember to seek the friends, family and people who can encourage us. Lean on God and don’t get discouraged. God blesses us with gifts and I have been a true believer in this statement for a long time. While our gifts and dreams may or may not go in the direction we want in life, just know that it is not our job to direct it.  It is our God who has His hands in everything that we do.  He is giving us this journey, so our goal is to let Him guide us in the direction that He wants us to go. Depend on Him, trust in Him and thank Him for those blessings (like Heather) that He has given us. Thank you Heather for constantly thinking of me and thank you for this amazing article!

Thank you to all my family and friends who have stood by me. I hope that this little write up can inspire and encourage all of you to not give up on your talents or dreams. Or maybe you can help encourage others!

Here are some great tidbits from the article entitled “Gifted to Do Certain Things Well”.

The article starts off talking about a little girl who was given a gift and she played with it ALL the time – truly loved this gift!  So, this article made me think of myself as a child.  Like all little girls I loved to play dress up, host tea parties and pretended that everyone is enjoying our tea and cookies; all while dressed up like princesses J! Everything that I did at that age, when it came to pretending or dressing up, still holds true to my personality today. It blows my mind that the gift God gave me as a child still holds true to this day. I always had a great imagination; being able to dress up and make sure every part of my outfit stood out perfectly and would be great for that fabulous tea party or maybe when I met prince charming. I longed to be different when it came to style. I wanted to make sure everything was perfectly unique when it came to my style, even as a child.

It may surprise some of you to know I was a shy little girl.  I was the youngest of three girls and being the baby in our family was probably a good thing.   I feel God was preparing me to be the person that I am today, nice and loud…HA!

The article says that God has given each of us a unique spiritual gift that He wants us to use to help other people. God doesn’t want us to be shy with these gifts, but bold, loving and sensible. This is so true folks! I have always said this in regard to my gift. I love that God gives us gifts and talents; some of you may be great at math and other may be great at art.  Whatever your gift is, use it! Be strong and faithful and know that God gave you these talents and do not be shy with them!

You all know that God is first and foremost in my life! And yes, I do get discouraged about things like every normal human being. But, I have God constantly pulling me back towards Him. He is determined for me to use my talents and gifts. And I am determined to spread the spiritual word with the talent and gifts that He blessed me with.

“A spiritual gift is given to each of us and we can help each other” Romans 12:7.  In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with all the faith that God has given to you. If your gift is encouraging others then encourage others joyfully. If your gift is serving others, then serve well! We can all do this with the gifts and talents He has blessed us with.

And ladies (or men), this is the most important part of the article- if you lack the confidence to use the gifts then you are not alone.  We all have times when we feel shy, afraid, scared etc… Paul wrote to Timothy to remind him, like Heather wrote to me, that only through the power of God’s spirit can we reliably use God’s gifts to do God’s work well.

I want to encourage all of you to get out and use your gifts. Love who you are and what God had blessed you with. Take those discouraging days and make them brighter by working in His name. God made each of us gorgeous inside and out and my gift to you is to encourage you to embrace yourself and love who you are inside and out! Take a chance on yourself and your style!

Thank you to my sweet friend Heather! I love you and your wonderful friendship!

11/10/11

Well we finally have a special day for all of us small businesses and I am so happy!! Please let's not forget all the small businesses out there. My family, friends and I have a small business and we all depend on every one supporting and shopping with us. So remember small business Saturday and continue to remember small businesses everywhere and every day. What amazing customer service you get with small businesses, and who wouldn't want that. Especially this time of the year!

I have seen small businesses come and go and I am determined to keep them alive in Montgomery and throughout our state and country.  So help me support all these small businesses just by shopping in the store, ordering on line, or simply spreading the word.

Thank you all and God Bless!

10/31/11-Fall Fun!

Fall is in the air and I absolutely love it!

Fall fashion goes so well with all the fall fun we are having this time of the year.  Strap on your favorite boots and your best fall colors and get ready to go the pumpkin patch and do a little trick or treating with the Handey family. What a great time of the year to spend with my family and friends.  I do have to say this is probably my favorite season, so let’s talk about how much fun I had this weekend. Taking the little one to the pumpkin patch was not only exciting for him but I do have to say it was just as much fun for the adults. Yes, I was quite shocked, I had a blast! I certainly needed to walk through the corn maze, find marsh mellow mountain, have a funny guy pulling us in his fast tractor while we all loaded up in separate cow cars as he yelled “hold on mama, hold on mama” and believe me we were holding on for dear life! I totally under estimated how fast he could go….I laughed so hard! I will be the first to admit I tinkled on myself!!! Imagine what I would be like at SixFlags…WOW! But what a blast, gosh I needed that laugh! The smile on everyone’s ones faces was just priceless. Thank you God for blessing us with fall; it’s even better when you have such amazing friends to enjoy it with. Thank you to Dave, Heather, and sweet James for making our first time at the pumpkin patch so much fun!

Here are the fun cows...didn't know what we were getting in to...YEEHAW!! What fun!

Marsh mellow mountain! This is the only picture I could get of the boy's...Go figure!

Well, We have Halloween on Monday and I love to see the kiddos all dressed up in their costumes. It’s kind of a relaxing and freeing experience. What a great way to mark the end of October and welcome the beginning of fall. I really look forward to being able to enjoy the next couple of months of craziness with my family and friends.  So be sure to stay on top of my blog and see what fall and winter have in store for you when it comes to the latest fashions and some amazing family time.

Speaking of family time please be sure to keep praying for the Gill family. God will heal this precious little girl and we want her home for the holidays. Prayer warriors…keep praying…even on the good days continue to pray. This little girl had a bump in the road but let’s continue to make that road smooth for her and her family simply by praying. Love to all and God Bless! Laura

Laura with Centsibly Chic

I feel kind of special!  The reason I am posting this picture is because this is when I found out sweet Ali was expecting!  Ladies, Ali is such a precious and Godly woman, I can honestly say I really enjoyed every minute of our conversation.  I mean in the back of my head I was thinking “why in the world would this sweet lady, who is extremely talented, give this small town girl the time of day”?  If you could have seen me bust up in the show room I can tell you I looked and sounded like a blubbering idiot! I think the people in the show room noticed that too…. But did Ali?   I’m not sure, but I thought this is a once in a life time opportunity.  For those of you who know me and my personality I am not aggressive at all. But, I just jumped right in camera and all. Yep, I looked like a weird stalker; I am quite sure of it. The amazing thing about this experience is after everyone gave me the weird, awkward evil eye, I felt so comfortable jumping in and saying “Hi Ali, my name is Laura and I just wanted to meet you and say hello. Oh and by the way can I get a picture??” Thank goodness I had just gotten my new iPhone!  Who would have thought after that encounter, we would have had a nice long 45 min conversation. I kept thinking in our conversation “Jeffery is not going to believe this!  My sisters are not going to believe this!  Heck, my friends are not going to believe this!”   And then our conversation just flowed!  It was just like I was talking to my best friend.  I still am in shock over that day! And I am amazed at what and who the Lord puts in your life. I may never have a conversation like that with sweet Ali again but I can say she encouraged me and I see how she encourages other women in her work. I guess I could chalk it up as  maybe she is just a sweet southern girl and it’s just in our nature to be polite to everyone around you  even those random girls like me who bombard you at Market…. or maybe that is just who she is in her heart.  Either way I can’t thank Ali enough for the fun 45 min conversation and for my iPhone!  HA! But, mostly, for just being as genuine as she is.  Thank you for sharing your sweet news of your pregnancy with me that day and for letting me ramble on about my life. Little boys are something else and having both a boy and a girl means that you get the best of both worlds! I can only hope that my stories of my little boy didn’t make you nervous…HA!  Thank you again Ali, and congrats to you and your family!

My baby boy is now in a big boy room. I love to share my stories with you ladies about my family because they are my inspiration.

While all of my friends are sending their little ones off to school, I am watching mine grow up before my eyes too. I know his big day of starting school will be tough for me, but for some reason this has been so much fun but hard on my heart. I guess every time I look at him I see him getting one step closer to being in college, married, and then having children. Not sure if I am sad about that or the fact that I must be getting older…HA! I am not a sentimental mom but for some reason I have slowly been holding back the tears.  That is until he decides to take a toy golf club and almost knock a hole in his toy trunk!  And then it’s quickly back to reality!  (I know, we have our days of sheer craziness!)  We are entering the world of the “terrible threes”. But with all that craziness it inspires me to continue to do what I love to do. Breaking away from my all the male testosterone in my house and being able to share with you ladies today’s fashion 411 can really make a woman proud. So here’s to all you ladies…especially those of you that have kiddos growing up right before your eyes.  Remember to love the good days and forget the bad, using each and every day as inspiration to go and be the best mom that you can be (good days and bad days). Let these little blessing inspire you. Or after you have put them down for the night just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine or bowl of ice cream and let that be your inspiration.  J  It’s amazing how God works through you, your children, or even a bowl of ice cream….ha! Have a great week, ladies, and know that I am sending many prayers to all of you who are sending your little or big ones in a new direction of life. Take this time to look at my blog and treat yourself to a fun girl’s night or your own personal stylist. That will take the edge off completely! So enjoy taking a sneak peek into Dill’s BIG BOY room!

Of course Duck Duck needs to be in the pictures. He wanted to be right in front of the Auburn Shaker : )

I got creative and did some painting on the bed and the coat hanger.

Not a great picture but you get the idea!

This is how much I love my new bed. Nice long naps...at least for now : )

Big thanks to my sweet Aunt (who is oh so talented) for coming in and helping me decorate Dills room. We love you MEME! XOXOX

Going to the movies with a very special little fella, and I thought that this would be a great opportunity to show you how to take a winter sale item and transition it into each season.

Headed to the Movies in style with a great winter purchase! (click here) to read all about it. You might get some great ideas for your wardrobe.

He loved it so much he couldn't sit down... HA!

Of course we had to have Molly and Rosie there. Thank goodness for sweet Molly, she is aways a big help! We love our cousin's.

So I’m back from another vacation with some precious friends. All I can say is that it was so much fun and I am still trying to recover from the much needed break. Sometimes we need a vacation from a vacation...HA!

Vacations sure have changed now that we have a little one. The hustle and bustle of a little boy is certainly different than our old ways of vacationing when we would stay up late and sleep in until 9 or maybe even 10. At least my morning runs are still consistent but now I am running in the morning and then running after a two and a half year old…yikes!!!

But with all that said we had such a great time and a big thanks to Martin and Andrea who hosted us at their gorgeous beach home. And to Sam and Gareth…the trip would not have been the same without you.  We certainly need to make it a yearly event.

Here are a few pictures of our trip with the sweetest friends.

Me, Sam and Andrea

The kiddos.... Not sure what the excitement was about? Maybe they were ready for that awesome Shirmp and steak too!

Yes, Naps were very important even for us adults. Why not...I mean  it is vacation : )

Dill had a blast!!!

God is so good and we are blessed beyond words with these sweet little miracles. Jeffery and I have some amazing little nieces, nephews and second cousins as well as a little boy of our own. These are Gods greatest gifts to us and I treasure every one of them.

Congratulations to my sister Philann, Ryan, (big brother) Cobb, and (Big sister) Rosie. We love you all!!!
